First, a new implicit projection method for solving variational inequality (VI) problems is proposed and its convergence is proved under the condition that is continuous and pseudomonotone. For solving co-coercive VI problems, many basic projection methods can be used. However, in order to implement these methods, we need to know the co-coercive modulus, which are too expensive to estimate or cannot be calculated in practice. Then, in view of this point and based on the new implicit method, a modified extragradient method is proposed without knowing the co-coercive modulus. Some numerical results are given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
